Bowery Mission

On the first Friday of every month, we go to Bowery Mission Night.

227 Bowery in Manhattan.

We go to share the gospel with the homeless and afflicted people who come there. The Mission feeds them a good healthy meal, and we help by serving them a good healthy spiritual meal. We have been going to Bowery Mission since 1976. Please pray for this work, and consider coming out with us!

Long long ago ( in 1976), we were sitting in the back row at another church meeting, when we heard the pastor ask for volunteers to go with him to visit Bowery Mission. The person writing this heard him, and said quietly to the Lord,

"Lord, please dont ask me this. Those people are dirty, and they smell, and I'm afraid of them!"
( I have since taken those words back. I'm learning that my fearfulness just gets in God's way. )

Well, the Lord has a sense of humor.
We went anyway, and found that we were the ones being blessed.

It is a most amazing place, where God is saving lives every day.
